The terms you agree to by using this website. Short, because this site only publishes guidance and does not sell anything.
By using Giftz you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the site. They are governed by South African law.
Who runs this site
Giftz is published by ZAIQ, based in Johannesburg, Gauteng, South Africa. In these terms, "we" and "us" mean ZAIQ. You can reach us at hello@zaiq.ai.
What this site does
It publishes editorial guidance about giving gifts in South Africa. That is all it does. It is written to help you make a decision. It is general information, not personal advice, and it is not professional, legal, financial, medical or tax advice.
What this site does not do
We do not sell anything. We hold no stock, take no payment, process no orders, pack nothing and deliver nothing. We are not a shop, a florist, a courier or an agent for any of them.
When you buy something from a shop we have linked to, your contract is with that shop. Price, availability, payment, delivery, substitution, refunds, returns and customer service are all theirs. Any dispute about an order is between you and them. Read their terms before you order, including their delivery cut-off times and delivery areas.
Accuracy
We write carefully and correct mistakes when we find them or when they are pointed out. Even so, we give no warranty that everything on this site is accurate, complete or current. Gifting, pricing and delivery in South Africa change constantly.
Any rand figure on this site is guidance on what people typically spend, not a quoted price for anything. Any description of how delivery generally works is a general explanation, not a promise about your order. Always confirm the facts with the shop.
Links to other sites
We link out to other websites. We do not control them and we are not responsible for their content, their products, their conduct or their handling of your information. A link is not an endorsement of everything that company does. Some links may be affiliate links, as set out in our affiliate disclosure.
Our content
All original writing, illustrations, design, code and layout on this site belong to ZAIQ and are protected by copyright. The illustrations are original artwork commissioned for this site. The typefaces are used under their open source licences.
You are welcome to read our guides, print them for yourself, and quote a short extract with a clear credit and a link back. You may not republish whole pages, copy the site's design or structure, scrape the site in bulk, or present our writing as your own or as someone else's. If you would like to use something more substantially, ask us.
Acceptable use
Do not attempt to interfere with the site, gain unauthorised access to it, overload it with automated requests, or use it for anything unlawful.
Liability
We provide this site as it is. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss arising from your use of the site or from anything you buy from a shop you found through it, including a gift that arrives late, arrives damaged, or is not what you hoped for. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 where it applies.

How we handle personal information is set out in our privacy policy and our cookie policy, which form part of these terms.
Changes
We may update these terms as the site changes. The date at the top of this page shows when they last changed. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, and the South African courts have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
